|| Preparation for Photo Sessions ||

The power of the final imagery is directly tied to the effort the client makes to prepare for their photo session.

Women should come with no makeup and clean hair.

Men should come with clean hair, shave to desired length and bring their razor.

When coming to the photo shoot, wear only loose fitting clothes and shoes. Do not wear any under-garments, bras, panties, socks or anything elastic that could leave marks on the skin. These marks often take hours to disappear completely and can ruin an otherwise beautiful image.

Please bring a bathrobe for makeup and hair preparation and to wear between shots, as needed.

Plan wardrobe for the photo session. Any wardrobe and props that the client brings to the shoot should be collected, organized and clean.

Make sure clothes are pressed and properly protected for transport.

Hats should be properly protected for transport.

Shoes and boots should always be clean and polished, and new items are preferable.

Whenever possible, purchase new outfits and garments for a session.

Select intimate apparel and lingerie that best compliments the figure.

Bring any props or personal items that may be usable.

Organize and bag outfits, jewelry, accessories and props so session time is maximized.

General suggestions about clothing:

When choosing casual clothing, go for items that best show off the body. Low cut jeans, torn/cut jeans, a form-fitting white shirt, a tank top, leather jackets, etc.

When choosing dinner wear select classic styles. Fashionable dresses, simple necklines are best and don’t overpower the person. Elegant, clean lines are better than trendy.

For evening wear, choose classic styles that are figure revealing or enhancing. Solid colors are best.
